The California HSR (High Speed Rail) Authority has withdrew the waiver filed with FRA (Federal Railroad Administration) of purchasing railway train parts from international vendors. The California HSR Authority officials said trains will be manufactured with parts aligned with Buy American Act (BAA) legislation. The HSR trains will comply with BAA legislation requirements as necessary and should be completed and ready for operation by 2025. The HSR officials are considering single-tunnel options for Pacheco Pass to run trains from San Jose and eastern Gilroy regional areas.

The Tesla Motors company filed a lawsuit in Santa Clara County Superior Court regarding the autonomous car autopilot component former staffing. The lawsuit is filed against Sterling Anderson, former Director of Autopilot Programs regarding proprietary confidential information and recruiting Tesla employees. Therein Tesla former employees are part of a startup company called Aurora Innovation and pursuing autonomous vehicles with technology similarities. The Tesla Motors administration legal team is seeking damages for losses and malicious punitive damages for his action.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) transportation system has received low rating from passengers during a customer satisfaction survey. The BART customers satisfaction have fallen to a 20 year low and transit agency is looking for solutions to improve customer services. The satisfaction questionnaire survey was filled out by 5432 passengers and only 69% passengers showing satisfaction with BART services in San Francisco Bay Area. The BART services drop from 74% during 2014 regarding customer services satisfaction.

The latest study identifies drivers in San Francisco as most dangerous drivers in California considering automobile collisions. The research study was based on cities with populations more than 100,000 people and percentage of young drivers age 15-29 years. The collective data identifies drivers in San Francisco as the worst collision drivers, and San Bernardino is ranked as more vehicular fatalities. The streets and roadways in San Francisco and Oakland were recently named worst in the country, and street improvement projects are happening for repairs.

The Southwest Airlines announces 22 new routing domestic and international flights and within San Francisco Bay Area major airports. The airline officials are anticipating 3.5% capacity increase overall this year and new routing flights will certainly help. The Southwest Airlines West Coast flight services will include 3 flights a day between SFO (San Francisco International Airport) and Portland, Oregon for travelers.

The local commuters in San Francisco rely on muni buses and railway trains for transportation, and sometimes the muni system is unreliable especially for working class people. The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) has been working on improvement projects to make the system better for passengers. Unfortunately, the NextBus technology app system was recently out and displaying inaccurate information for passengers.

The developers in San Francisco will have to face new rules for project developments in The City as changes are ratified by the Land Use and Transportation Committee. The committee will present the new changes to the Board of Supervisors for approval next week, and hopefully with new amendments will generate new ways to minimize traffic congestion. The new rules will have developers consider the number of parking spaces for cars to have control of traffic in San Francisco.

The Bluegogo International Inc. is planning to have their bicycles available in San Francisco for people to rent and use as necessary. The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) and SFPW (San Francisco Public Works) departments sent a warning letter to Bluegogo's CEO (Chief Executive Officer) sharing some procedural concerns. The Bluegogo CEO, Gang Li received the letter from therein city agencies regarding operational information. Including how bicycles will be stored in public, operational permits, etc. to have Bluegogo bicycles legally operate in San Francisco.

The vehicular traffic congestion on highways and local roadways continue to get worse in San Francisco Bay Area, and local transportation agencies are planning a subway in Santa Clara County. The proposal subway tunnel for trains will be operated by BART (Bay Are Rapid Transit) administration and work closely with VTA (Valley Transportation Authority). The proposal "J" shaped routing tunnel will run beneath Santa Clara Street in San Jose going north with a terminal adjacent to Santa Clara Caltrain Station.

The Tesla Motors have been under investigations because of a driver's death situation while using the autonomous vehicle autopilot feature. The Tesla autonomous car driver Joshua Brown was killed while driving his car in autopilot mode into a semi-truck trailer in Florida. The NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) officials announced their investigation is closed for Tesla Motors autopilot car feature. The NHTSA agency 13 page investigating report details the driver was killed, and was likely distracted without doing anything to prevent the accident.
