The holiday season is here and Caltrain will operate services based on revised holiday schedules for Thanksgiving weekend. The Caltrain will operate on a holiday schedule for Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, November 22, 2018 with a modified schedule on Friday, November 23, 2018. The Caltrain administration is preparing for the Holiday Train on Saturday, December 1, 2018 and Sunday, December 2, 2018. It's a community partnership by Caltrain and Silicon Valley Community Foundation for the holiday season since 2001 - welcoming families and children!

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa) Transit District BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) project is coming along as schedule for East Bay commuters. The BRT project will hopefully open for services during the later part of 2019 when construction is done and transit prepares for passengers. Including completion of project demolition, excavation, installation, paving, traffic signals, and loading/unloading platforms. The AC transit contracting agencies have been working on schedule associated with the BRT project construction.

Because the wildfire in Northern California has been creating hazy smoke and unhealthy air for local communities. The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) board approved a Ford GoBike station near 24th Street in San Francisco and Motivate will run it. The bike station was opposed by some community residents and BART board supported a compromise by BART administrators. It's a temporary pilot project until the mission library is renovated, and providing more time for Ford GoBike staffing to do more community outreach. The bicyclist advocacy representatives supports therein local bike station and received community support for the convenient effort.

The SFO (San Francisco International Airport) is delaying flights because of wildfire smoke within San Francisco Bay Area. The SFO flights are delayed with an average of 30-45 minutes because of therein smoke from Butte County wildfire camps in Northern California. The fire smoke is creating low and reduced visibility for airline pilots along with hazy clouds of smoke. The local Bay Area residents are encouraged to stay inside their homes because of therein smoke that can create unhealthy human conditions.

Yes, the Holiday Season is here and San Francisco Bay Area transit agencies are offering holiday festivities for local families and children! The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) is offering free rides for passengers from Friday, November 23, 2018 to Sunday, December 30, 2018 onboard the Holly Trolley. The passengers can take rides in therein legendary Holly Trolleys to events downtown San Jose and enjoy holiday music and decorations.

The Chase Center in San Francisco will become the new home of NBA Champions Golden State Warriors and transit projects are under construction for traffic improvement. Including UCSF Mission Bay transit platforms replacement projects to make it easier and convenient for commuting passengers. The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) will close therein transit platform for project construction during the replacement - close from Monday, November 12, 2018 to sometime in April 2019.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) board approved improvement transportation projects for cities of Santa Clara and Mountain View. The VTA MIP (Multimodal Improvement Plan) collaboration action plans with local cities will demonstrate improvement for transit projects to help with local traffic congestion. The VTA administration will work closely with therein cities to manage the MIP projects for efficiency within Santa Clara County. The MIP improvement project goal is to improve therein system traffic level of services aligned with community goals of local traffic.

The failure of Proposition-6 in San Francisco Bay Area and statewide makes transportation projects continue because the voters opposed therein proposition to repeal legislative funding. The SB1 (Senate Bill-1) legislative funding from raising taxes for gas and vehicle registration earmarks therein funding for transportation projects in the Bay Area and statewide. That means transit projects within the Bay Area will continue because some of that SB1 money is already allocated for some local improvement projects.
