The Ford GoBike is launching e-bikes to expand their fleet this Friday morning in San Francisco Bay Area within Oakland and Berkeley. It's introducing 500 Ford GoBike Plus e-bikes for distribution to East Bay bike locations and encouraging people to use it accordingly. The company is inviting residents to ride around with local elected officials at 10 AM on e-bikes for an experience - 23rd Street and Telegraph Avenue in Oakland. The motorized bikes will make it easier for people pedaling and going uphill locations within a longer distance.

The College Football Playoff and Championship is coming to San Francisco Bay Area from Friday, January 4, 2019 to Monday, January 7, 2019. The American College Football National Championship will happen in South Bay with different activities for families and children to start 2019. The Caltrain transit and VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) is creating a partnership team to help with transportation. There will be special events happening in downtown San Jose Convention Center and football games at Levi Stadium throughout the weekend.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) board approved local toll ordinance for therein express lanes on SR237 (State Route 237). That means VTA will collect fees and/or penalties from violators and using videos for enforcement with assistance from CHP (California Highway Patrol). The videos enforcement tools will be in place effectively during next summer season in 2019 along therein SR237 highway. The videos will provide logistical information with license plate reader technology to catch violators.

The SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) Holiday Train is rolling this Saturday, December 8, 2018 within the North Bay with holiday decorations. The SMART Holiday Train is expressing services for toys collection with holiday treats and Santa onboard. Including special surprises for children onboard the Holiday Train from Santa for unwrapped toys and gifts for disadvantaged children. The SMART Holiday Train will be running in Sonoma and Marin counties for the holiday toy drive.

The holiday season is here along with San Francisco Bay Area transit agencies festive fun activities for families and children. The toys drive is happening in South Bay on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 9 AM to 5 PM for Toys-For-Tots collection at Christmas in the park. Also, therein toys collection is happening in West Bay on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 10 AM to 3 PM at Serramonte Shopping Center in front of Jamba Juice. These holiday toys collection activities will be stuffing transit buses with toys to help disadvantaged children - Toys For Tots.

The ferry services in San Francisco Bay Area have options for passengers missing the last ferry services vessel from San Francisco to Vallejo. The option is taking a bus ride with SolTrans late bus shuttle services from San Francisco Ferry Building to Vallejo Transit Center. The late evening shuttle services can be optional for ferry passengers who want to stay late in San Francisco especially holiday parties, etc. during weekdays. The SolTrans routing 80/82 late evening bus services during weekdays with therein bus arriving at Vallejo around 11:26 PM.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency is partnering with K-9 officers for transit patrols in South Bay - safety is our #1 priority! The VTA transit agency has dedicated their services to be safe and healthy protecting commuting passengers within local communities. Because it's a sensitive target for terrorism and K-9 officers with the Sheriff Department completed their training. They will be patrolling VTA systems as well as transit buses and light railway service areas.

The bicycle routing from East Bay to the Bay Bridge was initially opened during 2013 and considering bicycle routes all the way to West Bay - Oakland to San Francisco. A team of engineers with Caltrans and BATA (Bay Area Toll Authority) agencies are studying the extension project. The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) is having a feasibility study for therein Bay Bridge bicycle routes from East Bay to West Bay. The bicycle routes on San Francisco Bay Bridge will be in place if everything goes well with planning and funding allocation - estimated $300 million.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) administration is stepping towards a possible second BART tube in San Francisco Bay Area. The partnership agencies BART and Capitol Corridor is having a feasibility study for an economic assessment with alternative options. It will identify a contracting agency for therein study during next year and provide the funding award in the middle of 2019. The partnership agencies are calling it Transbay Rail Crossing and will provide BART board with the project overview.

The holiday season is here starting with Thanksgiving and local transit offices will be closed including adjustments with transit services. The local transit agencies are adjusting their schedules to transport passengers accordingly during therein Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Because of the impact regarding holidays within the regular service days during weekly schedules. The ongoing transit improvement projects can also limit and/or impacting services for other transit agencies during the holidays.
