There will be Festival of Lights, Fairmont Gingerbread House, SF Annual Turkey Trot, etc. fun activities for families and children. There will be many other holiday season activities happening in San Francisco Bay Area during Thanksgiving weekend. The SFMTA transit agency is offering therein day pass for passengers to enjoy holiday activities for the whole day.

The transit agencies in San Francisco Bay Area will operate Sunday and Holiday schedules during Thanksgiving this week. Some agencies are rerouting other transit routes because of local Thanksgiving Holiday activities for communities. The East Bay and South Bay communities are having turkey trot fun activities for families and children during the holiday season. The local Bay Area transit agency offices will be closed during Thanksgiving and resuming business operation thereafter the holiday.

The SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) train system announces new operating schedules for North Bay effective January 1, 2020. The SMART new train schedules will feature quicker frequency for commuting passengers during weekdays and earlier services during weekends. Including services with the extension project to Larkspur ferry station and connections with other transit services in Sonoma and Marin counties. The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency is launching new services for passengers in South Bay. The Caltrain transit personnel is encouraging the Big Game football fans to take trains for Saturday's game between Stanford University and UC Berkeley. The trains will be operating to deliver football fans to and from Stanford University stadium for the Big Game. The Caltrain transit will offer additional services to ensure fans are getting there on time for therein rival game.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) maintenance working crews will repair transit tracks over this coming weekend - delaying regular services in East Bay. The repairing crews will begin working on single tracks starting Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 10 PM going through Sunday, November 24, 2019 until the end of services. It requires BART to hold some transit trains to get the repair work done appropriately and causing regular service delays. Including switching train tracks as necessary for resurfacing and safety reasoning for crew members.
