The SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) agency is adjusting services in North Bay because of therein COVID-19 health issues of concern. The SMART agency is changing train services schedules and cancelling some additional daily services to prevent the spread of therein COVID-19 disease. The SMART trains temporary changes for North Bay service schedules will be effective today, Monday 23, 2020 until further notice. The SMART services adjustment is aligned with the "Shelter In Place" statewide order and protecting passengers from COVID-19.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency is cutting operational service hours for trains as the ridership has recently decreased by 90%. Because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and therein "Shelter In Place" order throughout the whole Bay Area. The BART agency trains will operate between 5 AM and 9 PM for services Monday to Friday effective Monday, March 23, 2020. The services for Saturday and Sunday will be 8 AM to 9 PM effective Saturday, March 28, 2020 and BART train frequency will remain the same.

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) agency is adjusting service schedules in East Bay because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis. Including relocation and/or canceling some AC transit agency stops effective Sunday, March 29, 2020 to provide passengers with reliable services. The AC transit agency will continue to monitor therein COVID-19 like other transit agencies in the Bay Area for updates. Including cleaning and sanitizing fleet vehicles to protect passengers and following federal, state, and local Public Health agencies recommendations.

The Caltrain transit agency is suspending fees increase for Clipper Cards fare products to help passengers because of therein current coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Because the COVID-19 health crisis is creating financial hardship for local families, business, etc. including transit agencies. The Caltrain administration will not change any Clipper Cards discounts and/or adult monthly pass discount rates as planned until further notice. The Caltrain transit agency will continue to monitor therein COVID-19 situation and ridership levels for any changes when necessary.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency is adjusting services to fight coronavirus (COVID-19) and protecting passengers in South Bay. The VTA administration will continue to monitor therein COVID-19 situation like other local Bay Area transit agencies. It also continues to encourage protection elements for passengers aligned with federal, state, and local Public Health agencies recommendations. Including the implementation of social distancing between passengers, within their onboard environment to avoid therein COVID-19 transmitting contact - effective immediately.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) muni services are changing their schedules aligned with therein Shelter In Place order. The SFMTA muni bus services will be adjusted based on ridership levels and railway services schedule will remain normal in West Bay. The coronavirus (COVID-19) has negatively impacted transit ridership levels in the Bay Area. Including the COVID-19 impact with transit revenues aligned with reduced ridership, and transit agencies have to make necessary changes.

The SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) agency is temporarily cancelling all weekend services in North Bay. Including changes to weekday transit services effective immediately aligned with the Shelter In Place order regarding therein coronavirus (COVID-19) disease. The SMART District is making these service changes temporarily until further notice and will adjust services as necessary on passengers demand. The SMART agency is committed to provide safety and healthy transit services like other transit agencies in the Bay Area.

The San Francisco Bay Area transit services are changing because of the Shelter In Place order for people to stay home and/or work from home if necessary. Because of the effort to fight and avoid transmitting contact with therein coronavirus (COVID-19) disease. The order impacts transit services within Bay Area counties and transit agencies are adjusting their service schedules. The Bay Area transit agencies are operating regular schedules with adjustments during local school closures. The Caltrain services will limit hours during peak commuting hours and without Baby Bullet trains.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) is causing some transit ridership to decrease within San Francisco Bay Area because local schools are closing. The SamTrans transit agency ridership has decreased approximately 19% in West Bay and adjusting their schedules to accommodate passengers. The bus routes for "school stops only" will not be served until further notice and to protect our children from COVID-19 virus. The SamTrans agency and Bay Area transit agencies will continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and protecting passengers.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is launching a new feedback system for passengers to help improve muni services in West Bay. The SFMTA data shows receiving approximately 2,000 feedback from customers every month regarding services with efficiency and/or improvement with reliability. The new feedback system will provide customers with an opportunity to follow their input from submitting the feedback to outcome - transparency approach! The SFMTA administration loves to hear from passengers and uses their feedback to improve services.
