The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency will close several service entrances in San Francisco and Oakland effective Monday, April 13, 2020. The BART agency is continually implementing cleaning efforts throughout the system to protect employees and commuting passengers. Because of the low ridership at this time created by COVID-19 provides more time for BART to focus on safety and capital projects. The SFO (San Francisco International Airport) announced therein postponement of Terminal 3 improvement project during the COVID-19 health emergency crisis. The SFO Airport improvement project is to renovate Terminal 3 for new upgrades and will be postponed for approximately 6 months. The SFO $1 billion project was scheduled for construction during the month of June 2020 as part of SFO Airport improvement projects. The project will create additional space for retail concessions including airport food and beverages restaurants.

The Caltrain transit agency recently completed weekend work on four tunnels in San Francisco to safely electrify transporting trains. It's part of the Caltrain Modernization Program during transporting activities between San Francisco and San Jose routes. The Caltrain repair crew installed electric overhead systems for therein electrification project of new transporting trains. The Caltrain transit agency is closing the Hillsdale Station in West Bay effective Saturday, May 16, 2020 for improvement project. The Caltrain improvement project in San Mateo may last up to six months and may avoid interference during commuting hours in the future. It's the good time for therein identified project with low ridership because of the COVID-19 health pandemic issue. The alternate pickup station for passengers will be Belmont Station during therein closing time and new schedules will be posted online.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency is using longer trains to uphold social distancing for Bay Area passengers and preventing COVID-19 virus disease. The BART agency ridership has dropped to 94% and adjusting services for passengers, and continues to clean trains with disinfectant solutions as necessary. Including protective equipment for train operators and BART personnel onboard commuting trains. The transit agency continues to work on improvement capital projects during this low ridership time to avoid commuting interference.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency is resuming light railway services in South Bay on Thursday, April 9, 2020. The VTA light railway services will operate only during weekdays from 6 AM to 6 PM and services were temporarily suspended. Because recently a trainee operator was tested positive with COVID-19 and VTA suspended railway services immediately. The VTA maintenance personnel cleaned the railway trains completely with disinfectant solutions and replaced seating arrangements for passengers.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) agency is operating on limited resources in West Bay and adjusting services effective Wednesday, April 8, 2020. Because of limited staffing and/or driving operators created by therein COVID-19 health pandemic impact in the Bay Area. The SFMTA muni services plan is providing transit services to busy routing lines and accommodating passengers with essential needs. The transit agency is operating only 20% of transit lines and requesting people to seek other means of transportation when necessary.

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) agency is partnering with BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to help deliver meals for East Bay seniors. Including partnership assistance by East Bay Paratransit and Meals On Wheels, to provide nutritional meals for seniors at home because of the COVID-19 impact and shelter in place orders. The East Bay Paratransit drivers are delivering meals to seniors with protected gear for prevention from COVID-19 transmitting contact. The paratransit drivers are offering to deliver meals because of the decline with their regular services for seniors.
