The WCCTA (Western Contra Costa Transit Authority) WestCAT transit agency in East Bay is relocating bus stops effective Sunday, April 4, 2021. The WestCAT bus stops on therein corner of Key Blvd. and Cutting Blvd. will be relocated back to BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station permanently. The WestCAT bus stop relocation approach will be identified with signs and/or electronic devices for passengers to become aware of thereby permanent bus routing changes. Including WestCAT signs at therein Cutting Blvd.

The ACE (Altamont Corridor Express) train services in San Francisco Bay Area will operate on modified schedules in South Bay effective Friday, April 2, 2021. The train services will operate ACE #01 and ACE #03 for morning services, and will operate ACE #04 and ACE #06 with modified schedules. Including train services for ACE #01 in San Jose will remain to depart 10 minutes earlier, and therein slightly adjusted schedule will keep ACE train services on time.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency in San Francisco Bay Area received an approval to extend their Police Department contract. The BART Board of Directors approved a three year extension for therein BART Police Department contract, and supporting the Police Chief with their progressive policing safety initiatives. The transit agency continues to partner with SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) train and Golden Gate Transit and Ferry services. The partnership agencies will continue to offer free rides for passengers on the bus, train, and ferry services going and/or returning from their vaccination appointments. The commuting passengers have to show physical and/or electronic proof of their vaccination appointments while getting onboard.

The WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) services agency in West Bay has been sharing weekly ridership charts for ridership data. The WETA informational data identifies social distancing spaces during every for ferry commuting passengers in the Bay Area. The data is consistent with therein pandemic protocols to protect passengers and preventing the spread of any COVID-19 virus. The WETA effort is to ensure commuting passengers have enough physical distancing space onboard therein ferry vessels during commuting peak hours for active routes.

The LAVTA transit services for DUSD (Dublin Unified School District) will begin on Monday, March 29, 2021 for therein local school reopening. The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) services agency in South Bay is resuming passenger fares collection on Thursday, April 1, 2021. The VTA transit agency will start collecting passenger fees for all public transportation services, and within Santa Clara County including light railway trains and paratransit services. Including front-door boarding for commuting passengers on transit buses and safely travel to their destinations.

The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) agency in San Francisco Bay Area approves $802 million second relief funding for regional transit agencies. The MTC allocations of therein second federal relief funding is from CRRSAA (Coronavirus Response and Relief Appropriations Act). To help local transit agencies in the Bay Area recover from therein COVID-19 pandemic funding deficits, and to appropriately continue transit services need within local communities.

The SolTrans (Solano County Transit) services agency in North Bay is partnering with Amtrak effective Monday, March 29, 2021. The transit agency partnership services will operate using VTC (Vallejo Transit Center) for traveling passengers bus routes in North Bay. The SolTrans partnership transit services will include changes with Capitol Corridors scheduling updates. The SolTrans administration is welcoming Amtrak services at VTC to accommodate commuting passengers, and transit services alignment with new scheduling updates.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) transit agency in West Bay will enforce car-free zones on Market Street. The SFMTA car-free zones enforcement on Market Street will be effective Monday, March 29, 2021 because traffic is increasing with local businesses are starting to open. The COVID-19 pandemic is starting to ease off the Bay Area and local businesses are opening, and SFMTA will start enforcing therein car-free zones on Market Street.
