The Santa Cruz METRO (Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District) services agency in South Bay is offering door-to-door transit services on demand. The Santa Cruz METRO will provide therein identified demanding services effective Monday, April 19, 2021 as a pilot project countywide. The transit agency new pilot project will be in effect until Wednesday, September 15, 2021 and during the passengers fare reduction program for shorter trips.

The Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) state services agency is reopening Highway 1 in Monterey County thereafter project completion. The Caltrans closed Highway 1 because of therein mudslide and repaired it ahead of scheduling time, and it will reopen the highway by Friday, April 30, 2021. The WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) ferry services in West Bay will have temporary lower fares effective Thursday, January 1, 2021. The WETA Board of Directors approved therein proposal of lowering ferry fees for commuting passengers starting next fiscal year. It's part of the WETA Pandemic Recovery Program to help returning ferry riders and attracting new riders with diversified ridership schedules with amenities. The transit agency's lower fares will be in effect for one year as a temporary promotional approach to attract more ferry riders.

The AC Transit 600 bus line routes for schools will operate to help some local schools reopening for in-person student instructions. The transit agency has been working closely with school districts and reactivating 600 series of bus lines to help transport classroom students. The AC Transit supplementary school bus lines routing service was suspended because of therein COVID-19 pandemic and adherence to SIP (Shelter In Place) state orders.

The SJC (San Jose International Airport) commercial airport in South Bay received therein upgraded rating outlook in the Bay Area. The SJC Airport released a statement showing their S&P (Standard & Poor's) Global Rating Service upgrade as the first airport nationwide from negative to stable. The S&P placed many airports on the CreditWatch list because of therein pandemic impact with the aviation industry during August 2020.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) services agency in San Francisco Bay Area is planning to upgrade escalators on Montgomery Street and Powell Street. The BART repair crew will temporarily close escalator platforms to start upgrading construction work effective Monday, April 19, 2021. The BART Escalators Renovation Project will begin with upgrading the escalator at Montgomery Station, and will start with long-term barricades to store equipment with materials.

The SCT (Sonoma County Transit) services agency in North Bay is operating a school route for students effective Monday, April 12, 2021. The SCT agency will provide therein school Route 26 with limited services during school days with a new schedule to accommodate students. The SCT new school days only schedule will be in effect until Friday, June 4, 2021 for students attending Credo High School at Sonoma Mountain Village.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) services agency in West Bay is sharing 150 years of historical routing transit services. The SFMTA transit agency is sharing therein historical route for 15 Bayview Hunters Point Express with transit service pictures since 1910. The local people started transit services during the mid-1800s using horse-drawn street cars for passengers along 3rd Street in San Francisco. The historical transit services routing line was operated by United Railroads Company with local services from North Beach to Visitation Valley.
