The SolTrans (Solano County Transit) service agency in North Bay is sharing their fares mobile app in San Francisco Bay Area. The transit agency is introducing therein Token Transit Mobile App for passengers to pay transit fees within Solano County service areas. The mobile app will make it faster and convenient for transit passengers as another option to pay for their public bus rides within the county. The transit passengers tickets and/or commuting passes will be loaded into their personal mobile app thereafter purchasing amounts.

The Caltrain transit agency in West Bay has achieved safety systems federal certification within San Francisco Bay Area. The transit agency PTC (Positive Train Control) system had been certified by FRA (Federal Railroad Administration) before the due date. The Caltrain agency provided a contract with Wabtec Railways Electronics Inc. to help with therein PTC safety technology systems for operational trains. The Caltrain operational trains will be enhanced with PTC safety empowerment systems to improve protection for passengers thereafter federal certification.

The Alameda CTC (County Transportation Commission) agency in East Bay released an environmental summary for Highway 880 Interchange Improvement Project. The Alameda CTC agency improvement project DED (Draft Environmental Document) study update in East Bay will require public input as required with therein procedural process. The proposed project will improve local traffic at Highway 880 interchange on Whipple Road/Industrial Park Southwest and Industrial Park West.

The SJC (San Jose International Airport) commercial airport in South Bay has achieved global accreditation status in San Francisco Bay Area. The SJC Airport has earned therein star recognition by GBAC (Global Biorisk Advisory Council) Star Facility Accreditation Program - first airport in California. The Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) agency is closing Highway 1 for an emergency response drill at Tom Lantos tunnel. The Caltrans emergency response drill is mandatory during every year at Highway 1/SR-1 (State Route 1) for safety reasoning. The tunnel drill exercise is effective Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 9 PM to Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 4 AM - northbound and southbound lanes will be closed. The Caltrans agency is advising drivers to use alternative routes and CHP (California Highway Patrol) Officers will be onsite for assistance.

The SCT (Sonoma County Transit) services agency in North Bay is updating their services in San Francisco Bay Area. The SCT transit agency is operating some local daily and weekday service schedules with passenger fares to begin on Monday, February 1, 2021. The transit agency will continue to have free rides for college students and veterans with appropriate identification cards. The other local routes 24, 28, 32, 66, 67, and 68 in North Bay will continue to be fare-free routes for SCT service areas.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) transit agency in West Bay is recommending a new accessible proposal for Twin Peaks. The SFMTA staffing recommendation for therein Twin Peaks new access proposal is based on local community feedback with stakeholders input. The legendary Twin Peaks recreational visual scenery is one of the best in San Francisco Bay Area for local residents and touring visitors. The new accessible proposal for Twin Peaks will provide a New Vision for all people in San Francisco, and including pedestrians, bicyclists, and people with disabilities.

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) transit services agency is launching their rider capacity feature in East Bay. The AC Transit agency has installed APC (Automated Passenger Counting) sensor devices to around 80% of their fleet coaches. The APC sensor devices will feed rider data information to AC Transit's data management system and determines real-time rider data for passengers capacity.

The Santa Cruz METRO (Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District) agency in South Bay will continue express services suspension. The transit agency services for Highway 17 Express will continue suspension for daily and weekend services until March 3, 2021. It impacts Highway 17 Express daily services at 5:55 AM, 9:45 AM, 3:39 PM, and 7:35 PM as well as weekend services at 7:40 AM, 8:45 AM, 4:22 PM, and 5:45 PM. The Santa Cruz METRO Highway 17 Express services is between San Cruz METRO Center and San Jose Diridon.
