The VTA is partnering with Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) and City of San Jose for therein highway reconstruction project in South Bay. The Santa Cruz METRO (Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District) services agency in South Bay is partnering with Greyhound Lines Inc. in the Bay Area. The transit partnership agencies will allow passengers to transfer within their network routing systems to make it easier. It will apply to traveling passengers from Santa Cruz to San Jose using the Highway 17 Express Services. The Santa Cruz METRO is offering therein partnership services because Greyhound Lines Inc. suspended thereby routing services caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Civic Center BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) Station elevators will be closed for repairs on Monday, March 8, 2021 in the Bay Area. The BART Station elevators repair project will last until Saturday, April 3, 2021 to upgrade outdated elevator doors. The Civic Center/UN Plaza Station BART elevators will be replaced with new doors for elevators on the street and platform loading areas. The BART effort is to upgrade all elevator doors for reliability in the system, and make it easier for traveling passengers in the Bay Area.

The AC Transit agency is kicking off their All Door Boarding pilot project for all passengers taking public transit in East Bay. The passengers using Clipper Cards can get onboard using rear doors and tag their cards using the payment device at the rear door. The transit agency passengers paying cash, mobile payment, and paper pass can use the front door to get onboard.
