SAMTRANS APPROVE ZERO-EMISSION IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA
The SamTrans (San Mateo County Transit District) agency board in West Bay approves zero-emission plan for San Francisco Bay Area. The transit agency Board of Directors plan to transform transit fleet buses into 100% zero-emissions by 2038 in the Bay Area. The SamTrans agency is doubling therein zero-emissions effort aligned with state requirements for transit fleet agencies. The board approval of therein zero-emission plan will have 50% of SamTrans fleet buses purchased before 2026 to be electric.
