We posted articles in the past about local residents of Palo Alto, Atherton, etc. regarding airplane noise reduction issues, and Board of Supervisors for San Mateo County, California will hear from people on Tuesday at a public meeting. The board will have a study session to hear from the public regarding airplane noise complaints, especially when Surf Air added more incoming and outgoing flights at San Carlos Airport. A report from the board indicates 13% increase during 2012, and airplane noise complaints have been increased from local residents.

The commuting traffic in San Francisco Bay Area is getting unsafe and unhealthy for traveling passengers, especially when you have 80 BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) trains in the shop out of services. People in the Bay Area are encouraged to take public transportation and doing so this week, was very bad for passengers because of overcrowded BART trains. BART administrators and maintenance repair crews are trying to figure out electrical problematic issues on trains, and 40 trains were out of services during this past Monday.

Qantas Airlines had a questionable slideshow at the recent tourism conference in San Francisco. The airlines describe City of Oakland as "the wild side of San Francisco" and irking local San Francisco Bay Area residents. Many Oakland residents don't feel good about the airline's promotional description, and don't want to be under the shadow of anything. The local residents are questioning these types of promotional advertising because it can raise many wrongful issues about Oakland.

The San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) was called to put out a 25 passenger bus on fire, at a Chevron gas station in South of Market neighborhood around 2:35 PM today. The bus pulled into the gas station and the vehicle engine appears to become overheated, and the driver called for help when returning from inside the gas station. The bus was engulfed with fire and SFFD crew put the fire out immediately, and fortunately no injures were reported and no passengers onboard the bus.

The new electric muni buses purchased from New Flyer Industries Inc. for San Francisco is struggling going up the city hills. The San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee and administration has invested almost $26 million in purchasing new electric buses for the muni fleet. However, it appears new electric muni buses are not capable of going up steep hills above 10% grade levels, after findings by SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency). It's reported the testing results of new muni buses didn't meet standards of muni speed requirements.

The muni transit system in San Francisco is going through development planning phases for services improvement for passengers. Part of improvement planning is having a training facility, and SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Training Agency) administrators is proposing to have a facility costing $2.4 million annually. SFMTA administrators presented their proposal to Budget Committee members during a public hearing yesterday. They will continue their presentation on March 9, 2016 because more critical information is requested by committee members.

Developing projects within San Francisco Bay Area is booming along with technology and more office spaces. That's exactly what is pending to happen along El Camino Real in City of Menlo Park within the Peninsula regional area. The new released EIR (Environmental Impact Report) indicates more traffic congestion will happen along roadways when the development project is completed. This means more people will travel using local roadways and freeways to access their working and living environments as necessary.

The latest transportation report released by U.S. Department of Transportation identifies 59,000 transportation bridges and/or overpass are structurally deficient. They need repairs or replacement, and ongoing maintenance for sustainability and 2000 are deemed structurally deficient in California. Out of the top 25 structurally deficient, 3 are in San Francisco Bay Area along Highway 880 bridge overpassing San Leandro Creek in Oakland, another Highway 880 bridge overpassing Whipple Road in Union City, and Highway 680 bridge overpassing Monument Boulevard in Pleasant Hill.

Traffic congestion in San Francisco Bay Area is becoming old news and turning unhealthy for people, and that's why City and County of San Francisco is taking appropriate action of relief. The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) board approval of reforming Mission Street in San Francisco is starting to materialize. Traffic construction crews started Monday morning installing red lanes for muni buses on the street to load and unload passengers.

It's been reported that another Uber driver was driving erratically and onto people's lawns in Kalamazoo, Michigan over this past weekend. The Uber drivers background checks have become a major issue of concern, for passengers and many people are questioning "how safe are they while riding with Uber drivers?" This includes riding with Uber drivers in San Francisco Bay Area and nationwide, and during this month Uber agreed to pay $28.5 million settlement, to pay riders regarding two class action lawsuits.
