The latest reports indicate airline airfares for domestic flights have dropped to low pricing rates in San Francisco Bay Area and nationwide. The U.S. Department of Transportation released their data report for the fourth quarter of 2015, and indicating airfares have not dropped since 2010. The average airline ticket costing rate at $363 during fourth quarter in 2015 and the previous year was $396.

The police investigated a suspicious package found at 19th Street BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station in Oakland during commuting hours this morning on Tuesday. The BART station was closed temporarily until it was clear to operate because of the suspicious package investigation. Transit shuttle buses were provided for passengers during BART closing time and dogs were provided by police to determine the package for assurance. Passengers were informed to enter from a different location to enter shuttle buses for alternative transportation.

The electric power was out during this morning within areas surrounding Berkeley and East Bay locations at 9:35 AM. The power outage impacted local schools, businesses, and residents including BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) transportation. It was frustrating and inconvenient for commuting passengers because BART was shut down temporarily until power is restored. People witnessed this past weekend an airplane landed at Moffett Field in Mountain View, California, after taking off from Hawaii and flew over the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. The solar Impulse-2 aircraft is currently in Moffett Field after successfully landing Saturday when the wind condition was okay for landing. The Impulse-2 aircraft mission is to fly across the world and become the world's biggest experimental plane.

A recent report indicates 23% drop for commuters on buses and/or light-railway for working class people in southern San Francisco Bay Area. The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) public transportation system serves Santa Clara County and commuting ridership has been dropped since 2001. The VTA officials will have to make rationale decisions on how to increase commuting ridership on VTA buses and light-railway trains. The local muni riders see it differently because it helps muni passengers board muni buses quicker than it was, and helping muni bus lines make it efficient for muni services. The Mission Street "red carpet" lanes controversy appears to raise questions for Supervisor David Campos. He wants to have a community meeting and would like to hear directly from local residents and muni riders.
