The VTA transit agency's repair crew completed an improvement project at therein railway station and now reopens for commuting services. Including completion of the station retaining wall and repair crew staffing were able to settle the large amount of dirt for construction. The construction crew was able to realign the retaining wall panels and realignment of the railway tracks for thereby improvement project.

The Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) state services agency honors 189 fallen highway workers during therein 31st Annual Memorial Ceremony. The Caltrans commemoration annual event was held at the California State Capitol to remember thereby fallen highway workers. The memorial event included 189 orange highway traffic cones in a diamond configuration style like a "caution sign" on state highways. Including names of 189 fallen highway workers on the orange traffic cones as well as the Caltrans Honor Guard during therein memorial event.

The SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) train services in North Bay is showing increase with more passengers in the Bay Area. The SMART train reports showing more passengers traveling in North Bay using train services, and showing 11,773 ridership commuters during April 2021. The SMART train services maintenance workers upgraded Selective Catalytic Reduction brackets on diesel vehicles, and replaced with new brackets and reinstalled the engine diesel power module.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) transit services agency in West Bay is reopening Subway Stations and Historical Streetcars. The SFMTA will reopen all Muni Metro subway stations effective Saturday, May 15, 2021 and returning Historical Streetcars in the Bay Area. The transit agency continues to work closely with local business communities and stakeholders to have appropriate muni services to accommodate passengers in The City.

The Alameda CTC (County Transportation Commission) services agency in East Bay is launching "Bike To The Moon" week in San Francisco Bay Area. The Alameda CTC weekly activity will be effective Monday, May 10, 2021 and part of their SR2S (Safe Routes To School) Program within county jurisdiction areas. The Alameda County local schools will participate with therein "Bike To The Moon" virtual event, and SR2S Program staffing will provide ongoing event logistical information.

The SJC (San Jose International Airport) commercial airport in South Bay is increasing public parking capacity to meet growing demands. The SJC Airport is reconfiguring its parking facilities by adding more than 300 parking spaces and making it convenient for airport travelers. The airport is providing returning passengers and welcoming new travelers in South Bay, and making it convenient with options at public parking facilities. The SJC Airport is continually planning to provide traveling passengers ample parking during arriving and/or departing flights.

The BTWD (Bike To Wherever Day) is coming to San Francisco Bay Area on Friday, May 21, 2021 and celebrating 2021 Bike Champions. The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) with sponsoring partnership agencies will have BTWD activities, and celebrating 2021 Bike Champions from all nine regional counties in the Bay Area. The BTWD activities during this year will focus and reflecting on new enthusiasm with bike riding within San Francisco Bay Area. Including bike coalitions of the Bay Area will offer safety bike educational trainings, and fun activities for families and children.

The SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) train services agency in North Bay approved $21.4 million for capital improvement projects in the Bay Area. The SMART Board of Directors approved therein funding for rail and pathway projects to connect service stations for commuting passengers. The SMART services agency is planning to leverage therein funding in construction grants, and recommending two rail projects and advancing all pathway projects to shovel-ready-status.

The WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) services agency in West Bay announced new ferry schedules coming out in May 2021. The WETA Board of Directors approved therein new schedules as part of the Pandemic Recovery Program, and will phase into new schedules during July 2021. The current schedule and fares for passengers to Vallejo, Richmond, Oakland, and Alameda will remain in effect until July 2021 with new ferry schedules. The WETA ferry services agency is hoping to rebuild passengers ridership including temporary lower fares, and when things are reopening in the Bay Area.
