The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) services agency in South Bay is implementing a pilot project to improve transit services in the Bay Area. The VTA transit agency is trying to recover from therein tragic mass shooting recently and still improving services in South Bay for commuting passengers. The VTA agency is preparing to have direct bus services to SCVMC (Santa Clara Valley Medical Center) from Diridon Station starting Monday, June 14, 2021. The SCVMC shuttles will operate with seven direct trips in the morning during peak commuting hours.

The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) services agency in San Francisco Bay Area has approved three principles for federal funding allocations. The MTC agency Programming and Allocations Committee developed a guiding set of principles to help distribute almost $1.7 Billion federal funding.
