The Santa Cruz METRO transit routes update will impact services during summertime until Wednesday, September 15, 2021. The transit agency will implement a new Route 18 services for Westside Santa Cruz and UCSC (University of California Santa Cruz) campus. The new transit Route 18 will replace Route 16 and providing 30 minutes frequency services between downtown Santa Cruz and UCSC campus.

The Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) agency is replacing bridge barriers along Highway 101 within San Francisco Bay Area. The Caltrain services agency in West Bay is extending their fare discounts for passengers using Clipper Cards through Wednesday, June 30, 2023. The Caltrain Board of Directors approved $176.7 million operating budget for the new fiscal year including fare box revenues. The Caltrain agency is also delaying any passenger fees increase until further notice with encouragement for riders during therein pandemic recovery plan. The Caltrain Monthly Pass will remain with 20% discount for all categories and delaying thereby Go Pass 5% increase until January 1, 2025.
