SAMTRANS APPROVED MOBILITY APP WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The SamTrans transit agency Board of Directors approved a mobility app for customer services enhancement and trip planning for passengers. The SamTrans agency provides transit services for San Mateo County and therein mobility app will provide technical support for customer experience. The SamTrans board awarded Bytemark Inc. of Seattle, Washington for therein mobility app solution at a cost of $478,000 for two years contract. The mobility app will provide passengers with arrival and/or departure transit bus times and ridership tickets. Including other technical information within the regional area for passengers trip planning when necessary. The SamTrans administration is planning to launch therein mobility app with an opportunity of going live on Saturday, September 1, 2018 if everything goes well.
