The WestCAT (Western Contra Costa Transit Authority) services agency in East Bay is offering free passes for students to ride public transit within Contra Costa County coverage areas. The WestCAT transit services operation provides public transportation for western neighboring communities countywide, and aligned with thereby JPA (Joint Powers Authority) state governance standards. The WestCAT offers free transit rides for youth students during summertime will end on Thursday, July 31, 2025 and consistent with transit services of County Connection, Tri Delta Transit, and AC Transit. All identified public transit agencies in East Bay with specified coverage areas are encouraging students to apply for Pass2Class transit passes quickly.
