The transit agency current schedules will remain in place through therein 2023 Spring season, and changes will improve service demands countywide. Including transit services reliability with quality results for commuting passengers, as well as safety standards improvement to protect riders. The Marin Transit agency is requesting passengers to provide feedback with thereby service changes, and to ensure passengers are happy with identified schedule changes.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) services agency in West Bay recognized their 2023 Safe Driver Awardees at a ceremony in the Bay Area! This coming Saturday, March 18, 2023 is the "Transit Drivers Appreciation Day" and SFMTA is honoring their safe drivers with recognition awards. The SFMTA 50th Safe Driver Awards ceremony is to celebrate and honor safe drivers for many years in San Francisco. Because operating a big driving machine in San Francisco can be very challenging with hills and winding roadways.

The WestCAT (Western Contra Costa Transit Authority) transit service agency in East Bay is providing free rides for passengers on Saturday, March 18, 2023. The free rides for commuting passengers will be an honor to celebrate, and appreciate all transit drivers and/or operators on their "Transit Drivers Appreciation Day." The WestCAT transit agency is offering therein free rides in partnership with Tri-Delta Transit and County Connections in East Bay. It's a special way to celebrate and appreciate all transit drivers for a job well done!

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) services agency in South Bay is getting strong support from state and federal funding in the Bay Area. The VTA transit agency received support by federal funding of $500 million earmarked within thereby fiscal year 2024 budget. The VTA will approach therein federal funding through FTA (Federal Transit Administration), to help with thereby VTA/BART Phase II Extension Project in South Bay. The VTA also received support from the State of California with $375 million recently for thereby same VTA/BART Phase II Extension Project.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) services agency in San Francisco Bay Area successfully achieves therein environmental Golden Certification. The BART agency achieved thereby highest environmental standard with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The SCT (Sonoma County Transit) services agency in North Bay is changing transit services on Route 20 effective Sunday, March 12, 2023. The SCT agency is revising therein local transit services on Route 20 for improvement, and making services easier for commuting passengers. The newly revised Route 20 schedules will be available of transit buses and online for commuting passengers to review. The SCT services for Route 28 has been suspended until further notice, and when roadway repairs are in place accordingly to return therein transit services.

The Caltrain services agency in West Bay is temporarily suspending some weekend services between Millbrae and San Francisco train stations. Including this coming weekend on Saturday, March 11, 2023 and Sunday, March 12, 2023 for electrification trains construction. The Caltrain Electrification Project is coming along well and will provide alternative transit services for passengers impacted by therein temporary closures. The Caltrain weekend service closures will be during 31 weekends in thereby first part of the 2023 calendar year.

The LAVTA (Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority) transit services agency in East Bay is offering an opportunity for therein Landscaping Construction Project. The LAVTA project requires thereby potential bidding companies to complete an RFP (Request For Proposal) procedural process. The transit agency RFP process was issued on Thursday, March 2, 2023 and therein bidding pre-conference is scheduled for Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 10 AM. The Landscaping Construction Project includes changing landscaping items, preparing the ground soil, installing an irrigation system, etc.

The ACE (Altamont Corridor Express) train services in South Bay is operating with renewable diesel fuel for their fleet trains to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The ACE trains renewable fuel systems will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 99% and saving our local environment. The action by ACE transit agency makes them the first railway services, to change with 100% renewable fuel operational systems in Northern California. It's part of their CAP (Climate Action Plan) initiative, to have zero-emissions fuel system for therein railway services fleet operations.
