SF BAY FERRY READINESS IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The SF (San Francisco) Bay Ferry services agency in West Bay completed their yearly readiness exercise for emergencies within the Bay Area region. The SF Bay Ferry transit service operates under WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) administration, and coordinates local regional emergency water transit agencies during emergency situations. The SF Bay Ferry/WETA personnel successfully completed their local simulation emergency activities, and activation of thereby local EOC (Emergency Operations Center). The SF Bay Ferry/WETA will coordinate all regional water transportation agencies in case of an emergency in the Bay Area, and aligned with state legislation to provide water transportation safety elements for protection within the San Francisco Bay Area.
