SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA - BART PARKING RATES INCREASE

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) services agency in San Francisco Bay Area is increasing their public parking rates effective Thursday, January 1, 2026. The BART services administration is raising therein parking by 40 cents at most stations, and 30% at high-demand service stations within the Bay Area. The public parking increasing rates will hopefully offset thereby inflation within the Bay Area, and helping maintain therein local BART essential transit services optimal performance. The BART local services currently offers 50% discounts for passengers using therein Clipper Start Program, and helping passengers get to their destinations with lower costing rates. The transit agency continues to show ridership increase, and forecasting thereby 4% increase ridership during next year in 2026.
