The Tesla Motors Inc. is relocating some employees within San Francisco Bay Area to new facilities closer to its factory in Fremont. The company confirmed that it will open therein offices at Dumbarton Circle for approximately 1500 employees from San Mateo office. The relocation plan is to begin the move during April and hopefully the San Mateo office will eventually become empty. The new office facility is approximately 10 miles from Tesla auto production factory in Fremont and expanding it within the process.

The SJC (Mineta San Jose International) airport announced ongoing passenger traffic has increased 15.6% during last year in 2017 at South Bay. The data reporting identifies ongoing air travelers growth for five consecutive years, and setting a record higher number of 1.7 million more travelers during the previous year. The SJC administration shared therein passengers increase because of Silicon Valley business and leisure partnership expansion with new nonstop services.

The latest report identifies some bridges and/or roadways overpass are deficient within San Francisco Bay Area and needs structural repairs. The ARTBA (American Road and Transportation Builders Association) released therein data report sharing mostly traveled deficient bridges and/or overpassing roadways nationwide. Including some in the Bay Area as follow: 1) Highway I-680 in Contra Costa County, 2) Highway I-280 in Santa Clara County, 3) Highway I-80 in Solano County, 4) Highway I-580 in Alameda County, and 5) Highway 101 in San Mateo County.

The Governor Jerry Brown, State of California shared his plans to save local environments and encouraging emission free electric cars for the people. The governor's goal during his budgetary release information is to reduce pollution from transportation sectors within San Francisco Bay Area and statewide - 40% below by 2030. The proposal plan would be aligned with EV (Electric Vehicle) subsidies and would offer $200 million EV subsidies within next eight years.

The upcoming election in June 2018 will give an opportunity for people to vote for approval or disapproval of proposed bridge tolls increase in San Francisco Bay Area. The Bay Area Toll Authority unanimously approved to let voters decide because 60% voters will support based on polling results. The bridge tolls will increase $3 within six years period and first $1 increase will take effect next year, and $1 increase during 2022 and $1 increase during 2025.

The FTA (Federal Transit Administration) has approved therein VTA extension project for BART operations within San Francisco Bay Area. The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) and BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) partnership agencies Phase-II extension received new deadline from FTA. The FTA awarded VTA's Phase-II Extension Project operations for BART trains in Silicon Valley to June 2018 as requested for more development time. The VTA administration is hoping to have therein time to explore more ways and means of feasible tunnels for the six mile extension project.

The Uber driver arrested recently in Southern California within City of Santa Maria, Santa Barbara County is because of sexual allegations. The reports indicate an undocumented immigrant Uber driver was sexually assaulting and raped students during transporting activities. One student reported the Uber driver also robbed and raped them along with other felony charges. The investigators are talking with four other college student women in San Luis Obispo County, and county officials are working closely with victims to identify other assaulted women.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency is inviting communities to share feedback regarding potential development at Blossom Hill Transit Center Parking. The parking location along Blossom Hills Road is good for potential residential and/or commercial usage for future transit income. The VTA administration wants to hear from local communities regarding potential development because of increase with transit transports. The VTA will be working closely with City of San Jose officials for opportunities within local developments.

The GTU (Ground Transportation Unit) is moving to their new office location effective Monday, February 5, 2018. The GTU is responsible for all ground transportation permitting elements within SFO (San Francisco International Airport). The GTU current office location will be closed between Monday, January 29, 2018 and Friday, February 5, 2018 for moving activities. The last day of operation at therein current location will be on Friday, January 26, 2018 and will resume operational business activities when relocation is completed.

The Delta Airlines will require more information for service and support animals when traveling with passengers on airplanes. The received many complaints about service animals urinating and/or defecating onboard airplanes during flights - has doubled since 2016. The new service and support animals requirement will begin March 1, 2018 and owners have to provide proof of their animal's health record within 48 hours before the flight. The new requirements for service and support animals will not apply to small pets in and other pet animals must fly in the cargo area.
