The Santa Cruz METRO (Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District) services agency in South Bay is updating their schedules effective Thursday, June 18, 2026 for summertime. The Santa Cruz METRO routing service changes will impact several transit routing services countywide, and some transit routes will be discontinued during summertime. The transit service Route 3B for weekday and weekend services at Brommer, and 17th Avenue stop to Capitola Mall will be discontinued. The Route 18, Route 18B, Route 19, and Route 19B transit services for weekdays and weekends will operate at 30 minutes during peak frequency times at UCSC loop operational trips. The Route 18B and 19B transit services will operate during every 30 minutes to the campus base, and departures with arrival times are adjusted along thereby routing service.
