The AC Transit (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) services agency in East Bay is moving forward with their networking realignment plans. The AC Transit board approved two networking plans to realign with services, and coverage areas for traveling passengers using public transportation. The ACE (Altamont Commuter Express) train services in South Bay is progressively moving forward with improvement projects to better connect traveling passengers. The ACE train service is a partnership transit operation under SJJPA (San Joaquin Joint Powers Authority) and SJRRC (San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission). The Valley Rail partnership improvement project will help connect passengers with ACE train services to the Bay Area easier. The improvement project has to be compliant with FTA (Federal Transit Administration) regulations for all passengers service accessibility.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency in San Francisco Bay Area will start accepting fares payment only with Clipper Cards effective Thursday, November 30, 2023. The BART services agency will not accept paper tickets anymore, and moving forward with new state-of-the-art fare gates. The new BART fare gates for traveling passengers will only accept Clipper Cards for payments. In other words, traveling passengers using BART for transportation will need to have the Clipper Card to pay for their fees to ride.

The Marin Transit services in North Bay is extending their Summer Rider's Guide schedules until Saturday, January 13, 2024 in the Bay Area. The SamTrans (San Mateo County Transit District) service agency in West Bay is operating with transit services update to improve frequency within routes. The SamTrans transit service updates are in place effective Sunday, November 5, 2023. Including schedule changes with some routes to improve pickup times and frequency for regular transit services, and school transit routing services to help students. The SamTrans Ride Plus program is also extended until Sunday, December 31, 2023, and that means passengers can ride for free until thereby end of the year!

The County Connection transit services agency in East Bay is implementing changes to therein routes effective Sunday, November 12, 2023 in the Bay Area. The County Connection transit services operate under The Central Contra Costa Transit Authority, and provides service within central Contra Costa County local communities. The identified services adjustment will make it convenient for passengers and connected with other transit agencies in the region. The new transit service changes will affect Route 15, Route 35, and Route 335 scheduling times.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency is restarting routing services to reconnect traveling passengers in South Bay. The VTA service agency will partner with MST (Monterey-Salinas Transit) agency to connect passengers between Santa Clara County and Monterey County. The partnership transit services will be operated by MST agency, and transporting passengers with four roundtrip services during weekdays. The VTA/MST partnership transit services will also share allocating funding to make it happen in South Bay.

The Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) state agency signed therein contract with Stadler Rail Inc. to develop zero-emission trains for passengers. The Caltrans historic approach will provide hydrogen zero-emission trains for passengers with intercity traveling. The contract is $80 million for Stadler Rail Inc. to deliver thereby historic zero-emission trains. It will be the first zero-emission trains traveling with passengers onboard in North America, and protecting local intercity environments for families and children.

The SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) train services agency in North Bay is operating with extended weekend service schedules in the Bay Area. The SMART train new extended services on weekends make it more easier for connections at Larkspur Ferry Station. The transit agency new schedules include later evenings service on Mondays to Fridays, and for ferry passengers traveling to and from San Francisco until Sunday, January 14, 2024. The SMART ridership has been elevated by 10% compared to August 2019, and therein free summer youth program increased ridership during summertime.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) services in West Bay will have cameras to capture speeding drivers in the city. The SFMTA safety approach is aligned with therein new approved state legislation, and signed by Governor Gavin Newsom. The new state legislation AB645 (Assembly Bill 645) will allow San Francisco to have Speed Safety Cameras to be a pilot program. Including some metropolitan cities statewide to have therein safety program to protect local communities.
