SMART 2025 RIDERS RECORD IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) services agency in North Bay is setting records with railway transporting services in the Bay Area. The SMART local railway services transported more than 1.1 million passengers during 2025, and with record setting with 32% more than 2024 yearly transporting services. The transit agency transported 1,123,686 traveling passengers in North Bay, and equates to 23.4 miles for SMART traveling passengers during FY 2025 (Fiscal Year 2025). The SMART connect shuttle services transported 17,097 passengers to help make transit connections with other transit services. The transit agency data shows 1,029,421 passengers using SMART pathways to travel with bicycles, and carried 146,898 bicycles onboard thereby railway trains to help traveling passengers.
