SCCRTC HIGHWAY 1 CLOSURE WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The SCCRTC (Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission) implementation agency in South Bay is continuing to close thereby Highway 1 on Monday, March 30, 2026. The SCCRTC closure on Highway 1 will continue overnight going southbound in Watsonville, and alternate detouring routes for traffic will be available. The drivers going southbound on Highway 1 will be directed off at Buena Vista Drive offramp, and keep going to Ranport Road before reentering Highway 1 southbound using therein Airport Blvd. onramp. The vehicular drivers can expect 10 minutes delays and traffic directional signs will be in place to guide drivers. The repair crew teams will start safety testing activities and provide maintenance for security thereafter construction is completed.
