SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA BRIDGES MAY HAVE ELECTRONIC TOLLS

The state transportation officials are studying the possibility of having electronic tolls for San Francisco Bay Area bridges including all statewide toll bridges. The Bay Area Toll Authority operates Caltrans bridges statewide has awarded a consultant study agency for more discovery elements before a final decision. The Golden Gate Bridge tolls have been electrified over the past two years, and simplifying the toll process for drivers and commuters over the iconic bridge. Although, there have been some problems with electronic tolls but repairing them is not a greater problematic issue. Electronic tolls have been working for the Golden Gate Bridge and studying for more improvement ways to make it work for other San Francisco Bay Area bridges.
