PREVENTION TRAFFIC LIGHTS ON ROADWAY IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The deaths on El Camino Real roadway along Peninsula regional area in San Francisco Bay Area has been rapidly increasing within a short period of time. The Town of Atherton administrators are meeting with Caltrans for discussions on having a traffic light to hopefully prevent deaths on El Camino Real roadway. A person was killed recently along this roadway in Atherton, including a person killed after being hit by a Recology Garbage truck over this past weekend in San Carlos. An 86 year old woman was killed along the same roadway in Menlo Park within the weekday on Thursday before the weekend. El Camino Real is a state roadway and Caltrans State Transportation Agency is planning initiative measures for prevention within local cities.
