HIGHWAY GUARDRAIL RULING IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

A U.S. District Judge ruled to fine Trinity Industries Inc. for fraudulent highway guardrail causing personal injuries and damages to drivers on national freeways. The final judgement was ordered on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 easing safety reasoning for drivers on California and other state national highways. Trinity Industries was ordered to pay $663 million for safety fraud penalties and guardrail damages. This was brought to legal attention by Joshua Harman an Engineer from Virginia who filed the federal lawsuit, ensuring safety for drivers in San Francisco Bay Area traveling on freeways. The Caltrans State Transportation agency has suspended using and installing these falsified guardrails called ET-Plus on state highways manufactured by Trinity Industries Inc.
