FLIP-FLOPPING DECISION ON BUS ONLY LANES IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The decision to have bus only lanes on El Camino Real within Santa Clara County is becoming a flip-flopping process due to local council members changing their mindset approach. The City of Mountain View council members approved their support for bus only lanes on El Camino Real roadway, because other council members changed their supportive approach. They hope bus only lanes will give people the opportunity to ride public transportation more often and leave their cars at home. Some council members and local residents believe it will create more traffic problems on neighborhood streets and making it worse for commuters. VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) bus only lanes project will begin as soon as final approval takes place within next few years.
