FACEBOOK OFFERING WORKERS FERRY SERVICES IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The Facebook company will begin a ferry service for employees across the Bay Area and transporting them to Port of Redwood City. The Facebook working commuters will get into a shuttle bus at Port of Redwood City and transport them to working locations. The Port of Redwood City officials approved a contract with PropSF to operate new ferry services for Facebook thereafter the company hiring process. The ferry services contract will be for 6 months pilot project and PropSF will provide 10 daily ferry service trips. Some local people using the Port of Redwood City for recreational activities have concerns about safety issues with ferry boats. The ferry services effort is to hopefully relief some local traffic congestion on highways and roadways.
