CALTRANS LAUNCH NAPA ROADWAY IMPROVEMENT IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The recent earthquake in Napa provided fractured roadway bridges and damaged road conditions within Napa County for traveling drivers. The state Caltrans have launch retrofitting repairs for damaged roadway bridges and resurfacing roads along Highway 29 for safety reasons. Part of the improvement project is widening the two-lane highway for safety measures and improving driving distance between St. Helena and Napa County. According to Caltrans data, it indicates 22,000 drivers commute along Highway 29 everyday and it can cause degrading conditions on the roadway asphalt. The project will get $19 million from State Highway Operations and Protection Program, and a San Rafael construction company has been contracted to provide roadway improvement repairs for safety.
