The AC Transit (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) services agency in East Bay is increasing passenger fees effective Tuesday, July 1, 2025 in the Bay Area. The AC Transit Board of Directors approved therein passenger fees increase for local traveling passengers and transbay services across the bay. The AC Transit local adult passenger fees will be adjusted to .25 cents and transbay service cash payment fees will become .50 cents more increase. The approval passenger fees increase will be applied in two-phases threshold, and helping secure needed revenue funding for therein AC Transit operational system. Including appropriate local funding to maintain necessary transit services in the Bay Area, and minimizing any more potential negative financial service impacts.
