VTA ELECTRIFIED TRANSIT RESEARCH IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The VTA (Valley Transportation Agency) serving Santa Clara County is collaborating with local agencies to research study elements for electric transit bus fleets. The California Energy Commission (CEC) awarded $2 million for therein research project for Silicon Valley prospective innovation. The VTA public transit system across the county is moving forward to adopt Zero Emission vehicles and this research project will optimize transit buses performance. Including the development of an advanced energy management system to minimize the impact of bus charging on the road, and provide valuable services for passengers with renewable energy saving our environment.
