UBER SELF-DRIVING CARS OFF THE ROAD IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The Uber company announced their self-driving cars are off the road and will stop all testing modes because of a deadly accident in Tempe, Arizona. The Uber self-driving car hit a pedestrian female while crossing the street and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The victim was a 49 year old female named Elaine Herzberg when she was transported to a local hospital where she passed away from injuries. The Uber company is pulling off all self-driving cars in San Francisco and other municipal cities for safety reasoning. The Tempe police officer Sgt. Ronald Elcock mentioned the Uber self-driving car was in autonomous driving mode when the accident happened including a driver inside the car. An investigation is planned for the unfortunate situation and NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) will send a team of investigators.
