TRANSIT AGENCIES RELIEF FUNDING IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) is prepared to allocate $780 million federal funding to help transit agencies in San Francisco Bay Area. The federal funding is part of CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security) Act legislation and MTC governance body will take action on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. It's the first level of relief funding for Bay Area transit agencies during the COVID-19 health pandemic. The MTC agency worked closely with Bay Area transit agencies and will release funding quickly thereafter the initial procedural process.
