SUSPENDING CONGESTION PRICING IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The Caltrans and BATA (Bay Area Toll Authority) agency is suspending congestion pricing for San Francisco Bay Area toll bridges. The Caltrans state transportation agency operates the bridge highway systems and BATA administers the toll revenues of Bay Area regional bridges - various prices during daily traffic congestion times. The vehicular traffic in the Bay Area has been dropped including traffic congestion at toll bridges plaza for vehicles crossing the bay since COVID-19. Because the toll bridges congestion pricing is suspended, therefore, the two-axle vehicle drivers will only have to pay the standard $6 everyday during all days at all times. The volume of vehicles traveling across Bay Area bridges have decreased to 50% since the "Shelter In Place" order was in effect on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 and COVID-19 health pandemic crisis.

"The traffic is good during these challenging times in the Bay Area and hopefully will get over this coronavirus," said Ed Thompson, local commuter in Contra Costa County. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
