STOPPING TRANSIT CENTER FUNDING IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The downtown transit center funding in San Francisco is on hold because of an issue with the Millennium Tower development. The new Millennium Tower in San Francisco has been sinking and raising many questions about development elements involved during the planning process. Leading into halting funding for the Transit Center Transbay second phase development and not releasing $6.8 million for designing work. The San Francisco Board of Supervisors unanimously approved to stop releasing transit center funding until further discussions. The TJPA (Transbay Joint Powers Authority) with have further discussions with San Francisco Board of Supervisors during next month in October.
