The airport prestigious award was offered by DBIA (Design-Build Institute of America), and recognized SJC Airport with therein Design Build National Award of Merit. The airport award was issued under thereby Aviation Category by DBIA for the ARFF (Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting) Station 20 facility. The City of San Jose launched and opened therein new fire station at SJC Airport during March 2022.
