SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA - CALTRANS RECEIVING RELIEF FUNDS FOR EARTHQUAKE ROAD REPAIRS

The recent Napa earthquake damaged roadways and freeways within Napa County, although they were open for drivers and their cars to commute, and commuting traffic was slow on Monday and Tuesday in northern San Francisco Bay Area. Drivers were encouraged by CHP (California Highway Patrol) to drive careful as well as watching and report any other road damages, and Caltran will work closely with local agencies for roadway repairs including bridges and infrastructure. The roadway damages repair cost is estimated at $10 million and receiving $2 Million from ERF (Emergency Relief Fund), and Caltran will receive these funds from U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration.

The earthquake created cracks on road surfaces and water pipe leaks along some roadways, and roadway bridges were brittle and needs repairs for safety traveling. "The earthquake damaged a lot of our roadway infrastructure and this funding will go long ways helping our community recover," said Rep. Mike Thompson. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
