PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE PLAN APPROVED IN SAN FRANCISCO

The SFMTA board approved the improvement plan for pedestrians and bicyclists on Polk Street in San Francisco, and alignment with Vision Zero plans avoiding anymore bicyclist and pedestrian fatalities. The final SFMTA (San Francisco Metropolitan Transportation Agency) board approval on Tuesday provides a threshold for pedestrians and bicyclist riders for safety in the city. A greater number of people participated and showing support for pedestrians and bicyclists, and shared how it could safe to ride a bike in San Francisco with identified plan on Polk Street. The plan is for Polk Street because more and more people ride their bicycles on Polk, and planning to add more lanes to help provide safety routes for bicyclists.
