PARKING APP FOR BART PARKING IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) system is partnering with Scoop Technologies to help worsening traffic congestion in San Francisco Bay Area. The BART system is able to provide guaranteed parking for carpooling people at Millbrae and San Bruno local stations using Scoop App. The transit partnership is made possible with $358,000 mobility grant funding from FTA (Federal Transit Administration) to help with local traffic matters. The Scoop Technologies will work closely with BART to ensure the system works well and verifying carpooling elements for efficiency. They will also work with BART police officers and MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) to ensure the system works well for carpooling passengers. The MTC, BART, and Scoop Technologies partnership is looking at expanding this type of parking services to encourage passengers for carpooling and decreasing local traffic congestion - visit www.rideshare.511.org for more information.
