OPERATING NEW MUNI TRAINS IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The new muni light railway trains are ready for operation on Monday thereafter for testing for passengers safety reasoning. The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) new railway trains will complete testing as scheduled on Sunday. These new trains are part of 24 total new railway trains arriving within sometime towards the end of 2018. The effort is to increase muni's local light railway system fleet for passengers at least 50%, and modernize the muni trains internal environment for safety. The new railway trains have new internal features with long seating benches along with LED signal lights. The new trains are manufactured by Siemens company factory in Sacramento and will be operating between Church Street and Balboa Park station.
