HALTING MUNI FUNDING IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The SFCTA (San Francisco County Transportation Authority) is not releasing muni funding request for SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Authority) for muni trains. The recent investigations identified mechanical issues with therein muni railway train doors are not operating properly. It shows therein faulty train doors would lock on objects including passengers and a woman's hand was trapped in the train doorway. The SFMTA new muni fleet will cost $1.1 billion and requesting $62 million to fast-track therein fleet expansion project. The SFCTA agency is highly requesting safety first for passengers before releasing any funding for therein SFMTA muni fleet project.
