The federal employees have to show their appropriate identification cards to transit operators for therein free rides. The federal government shutdown is impacting families around the Bay Area and Caltrain with SamTrans are offering free transit services. The free transit supportive services will be ongoing during therein duration of the government shutdown. Some people are saying, "The free rides for federal employees can be a good thing for those families because it's the American way of life - helping each other!" The transit officials are sharing their willingness to help federal employees during financial hardship times.
