CEASE & DESIST ELECTRIC SCOOTERS IN SAN FRANCISCO WITHIN BAY AREA

The San Francisco City Attorney sent letters to all dockless electric scooter companies to immediately cease and desist their operation because of many health and safety complaints. The City Attorney, Dennis Herrera, is giving all scooter operating companies until Monday, April 30, 2018 time to provide a report on how therein complaints can be addressed and resolved. The San Francisco Board of Supervisors would decide on an operational permit process through SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) for electric scooters. Because of many complaints from local residents and/or business communities with scooters endangering pedestrians walking on local street sidewalks. The Public Works crew teams are collecting electric scooters because of violating local ordinance and creating hazardous for pedestrians.
