CALTRAIN TO HAVE EIR FOR ELECTRIFICATION PROJECT IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The Caltrain electrifying project has to provide an appropriate environmental report for consideration during procedural process. We posted previously about Caltrain filing a petition with a federal agency, to avoid the EIR (Environmental Impact Report) in the process of electrifying its train cars. However, the federal agency Surface Transportation Board (STB) rejected Caltrain's request of avoiding an EIR, and making it a requirement to have an EIR as part of the process. Attorneys involved with the lawsuit and representing Atherton, including attorneys working with HSR (High Speed Rail) notes that a petition filed by Caltrain, is "unbelievable and feels great" about the board's decision.

"Hoping Caltrain wants to settle without an interest of going to court because the agency may have to provide a right environmental report," said Stuart Flashman, Attorney representing Town of Atherton. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
