BART REDUCING SERVICES WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency is cutting operational service hours for trains as the ridership has recently decreased by 90%. Because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and therein "Shelter In Place" order throughout the whole Bay Area. The BART agency trains will operate between 5 AM and 9 PM for services Monday to Friday effective Monday, March 23, 2020. The services for Saturday and Sunday will be 8 AM to 9 PM effective Saturday, March 28, 2020 and BART train frequency will remain the same. The COVID-19 public health crisis has reduced BART train ridership like other transit agencies in the Bay Area.
