ANOTHER BICYCLES & PEDESTRIANS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The City of Berkeley is upgrading ways and means of transportation for the UC Berkeley campus pedestrian students and bicyclists. Therein city improvement project on Hearst from Shattuck Avenue to La Loma Avenue is been called a most visible example of a "complete street." The intention of is to improve safety for pedestrians and bicyclists to and from UC Berkeley campus for students. Including dedicated bus riders specified location elements for accessibility and speed up pickup and/or dropoff passengers. As well as avoiding conflicts along the way for bicyclists and vehicular traffic congestion areas. The project will also include sidewalk extensions and signal lights at specified locations to improve safety for pedestrians - project funding is $5.6 million.
