POSSIBLE CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP FOR BART IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA
The San Francisco Bay Area BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) administration is placing a hold for possible corporate sponsorship. The corporate sponsorship approach is something BART officials may consider for alternative revenues to assist with capital needs. The Bay Area voters approved $3.5 billion for bonding funds in November election, and needs approximately $10 billion for capital improvement projects. The conceptual idea of corporate sponsorship was shared during BART Board of Directors workshop as consideration.
