SUICIDAL BART INCIDENT IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

A person was hit by San Francisco Bay Area BART this afternoon and pronounced dead after jumping on the rail tracking system around 1:25 PM. The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station on Embarcadero in San Francisco was closed down because of the incident, and BART with fire department officials said it appears to be a suicidal attempt. The person was hit by a train going to Dublin/Pleasanton and the BART station is closed down for an investigation. BART is only running limited trains to San Francisco International Airport only through Embarcadero station and other trains are using alternative routes. One passenger said, "it's hard to see someone commit suicide and there is help for them," and BART is expressing people to use the suicidal hotlines.

"There are 24-hour suicide hotlines available for anyone coping with depression or suicidal thoughts," said Jim Allison, BART Spokesperson. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
